About me

Born and raised in Britain, since 2008 I have been living in Germany, working as a journalist, author, and translator. I am based in Hamburg. Through to 2011, I used the multi-media brand Lost in Deutschland to talk about my experiences as a British person in Germany (mainly in German): this tongue-in-cheek yet informative look at life out here includes blogs, articles in newspapers, online videos and a book.

As of mid-2011, I reorientated the project to look at other English-speaking writers who spent time in, lived in, and wrote about Germany. The results of this have been available as a book, Germany: Beyond the Enchanted Forest: A Literary Anthology since May 2013.

In September 2015, my cultural, historical, and literary guide to Frankfurt was published.

Besides authorship, I also work as a journalist and translator for several clients - both directly and through agencies. This site offers links to my work and an opportunity to contact me.
